Senior Finance Role (Medtech)

Location: Hybrid in Toronto or Waterloo, Canada; remote work is also available.

Salary: $160,000–$190,000 CAD base salary per year, with an opportunity for equity.

What you will do

• Own a reliable monthly close consolidated across entities in Canada and China, completed by business day 10.
• Build and maintain forecasts connecting sales, inventory, and cash.
• Own product costing, including landed cost, COGS, and inventory planning for hardware built overseas.
• Lead financial modeling, data-room preparation, and investor reporting for the next raise.
• Prepare annual financial statements for timely audit and manage relationships with auditors and tax advisors.
• Establish and maintain controls across two countries, including approvals, spending, and intercompany processes.

Requirements

• CPA qualification and an audit background, followed by experience in a product or technology company.
• Experience owning the financial close and building financial models directly.
• Experience running FP&A, including budgets, forecasts, and decision-making models for leadership.
• Experience with inventory, COGS, and supply chain costing.
• Ability to work with investors, a board, or lenders, or readiness to take on this responsibility.
• Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders and make decisions with incomplete information.
• Willingness to reconcile accounts directly while also setting finance strategy.
