Engineering Intern (AI)

Location: Hybrid in London, UK; final interviews take place in person in London on 2nd and 3rd December.

Compensation: £45,000 annual-equivalent, pro-rated across 12 weeks, plus £45K pension.

What you will do

• Architect, implement, maintain, and operate significant systems serving hundreds of millions of requests per month.
• Design and code high-performance services and data processing pipelines on a modern technology stack.
• Build a working prototype of a voice-driven product in one of five tracks: Accessibility, Productivity, Creative Voice, Security, or Real-Time Assistance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams in Europe and Seattle to define and deliver shared components and services.
• Debug and fix software, add a feature to the submitted project, and discuss technical decisions during the final interview.

Requirements

• Computer Science major in the second year, graduating in 2028.
• Working knowledge of building services that adhere to operational SLAs.

Hiring process

• Eligible candidates receive the hirify.global Voice AI Challenge and have one week to build a working prototype, with optional virtual office hours.
• An engineer reviews the submission; selected candidates complete a 30-minute virtual session involving a demo, code walkthrough, and questions.
• Final in-person interviews in London include debugging and fixing, adding a feature to the project, and a conversation about hirify.global’s values.
