Principal Software DevOps Engineer (MedTech)

Location: On-site in Northridge, California, United States of America

Salary: $153,000–$261,000 USD annually for California-based roles

What you will do

• Build automated CI/CD pipelines for testing and deploying code.
• Provision and scale cloud infrastructure through infrastructure as code.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and observability systems to identify errors early.
• Lead production incident response, resolve major outages, and identify root causes.
• Maintain 99.9% uptime and 99% quality of service during degradation.
• Mentor junior engineers and review their technical work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Nice to have

• Seven or more years of experience in DevOps, systems administration, or software support.
• Experience leading projects and working with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong Python, Bash, or Shell scripting skills.
• Familiarity with NewRelic and OpenSearch.
• Experience maintaining and supporting JIRA and Jenkins infrastructure tools.
