Security Consultant (Cloud Security)

Location: London, England, United Kingdom. Hybrid role with an office attendance requirement of approximately 2 days per quarter; employees work on London-based contracts.

What you will do

• Lead threat-modelling workshops for products, services, AI tooling, and architectural changes.
• Review solution designs and provide actionable security recommendations.
• Assess risks across cloud-native and distributed systems architectures.
• Support architects, engineers, and product teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Help secure APIs, microservices, data flows, and cloud infrastructure.
• Define security requirements, compensating controls, standards, reference architectures, and remediation plans.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Security Consultant, Security Architect, or in a similar senior security role.
• Proven experience with security design reviews and threat modelling.
• Strong knowledge of AWS security architecture and cloud security best practices.
• Experience securing Java-based microservices and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, API security risks, and modern authentication and authorisation patterns.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, influencing, and independent working skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, fintech, or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS.
• Experience with CI/CD security, DevSecOps, automated security controls, and application security testing.
• CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, or equivalent certification.
