Mid-Level Project Management (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: Wichita, Kansas, United States; onsite, union-represented position.

Salary: $76,150–$116,800 annually.

What you will do

• Oversee the operational aspects of ongoing projects and liaise with program management, planning, project teams, and Operations leadership.
• Review project status and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare status reports.
• Assess production issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer goals.
• Develop project monitoring, intervention, and problem-solving mechanisms with project managers, line managers, customers, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, assess and mitigate risks, and balance multiple projects against plan.
• Support team training, mentoring, development, and new strategy or concept generation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in safety, manufacturing, or project management environments.
• Proven experience leading projects from initiation through execution and closeout, including scope, schedule, and deliverables.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety, Business, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of safety principles; PMP or another PMI certification.
• Experience tracking individual projects within a larger portfolio and familiarity with Smartsheet.
• Ability to develop project-appropriate schedules, integrate large multi-year and small near-term projects, and quantify project implications with Finance tracking.
• Ability to create in-depth presentations for executive management and communicate effectively with executive leaders.
• Technical background for working with cross-functional teams and ability to lead through influence across multiple teams.
• Experience with root cause analysis, risk assessment and mitigation, cross-functional coordination, and internal customer partnerships.
• Knowledge of manufacturing environments, lean processing, and industrial engineering concepts.
