Senior AQA Engineer (Cypress)

What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks focused primarily on RESTful APIs.
• Develop and execute Cypress E2E test suites for web applications, including component testing.
• Design, script, and execute load and stress tests to identify bottlenecks and validate reliability under peak traffic.
• Prioritize complex functional and non-functional test cases for automation.
• Collaborate with Developers and DevOps to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and resolve defects early in the SDLC.
• Evaluate tools and methodologies to optimize the testing stack and reduce manual work.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of software automation experience, including testing complex distributed systems.
• Deep understanding of API testing with REST and GraphQL, including Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools, and strong knowledge of HTTP protocols.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining Cypress automation frameworks for E2E and component testing.
• Practical experience with load-testing tools such as k6 or JMeter to validate system scalability.
• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript; experience with Java or other modern languages is also acceptable.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI for automated quality gates.
• Strong experience in an Agile/Scrum environment and deep understanding of QA best practices.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate technical quality risks clearly in English.
