Senior Test Automation Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Create, enhance, and maintain automated tests for web, UI, and API layers.
• Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions, and monitor suites across browsers and platforms.
• Build and evolve reusable automation frameworks with Playwright, Selenium, Puppeteer, or Serenity-BDD.
• Develop clean, modular automation code and internal libraries for authentication, data generation, metrics collection, test data, configurations, and environments.
• Prepare structured test reports and collaborate with manual QA engineers to expand automated coverage.
• Drive framework improvements, define automation best practices, and coach colleagues on test automation and design principles.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Puppeteer, BackstopJS, RestAssured, Serenity-BDD, or Cucumber.
• Proficiency in Java 17; Node.js or TypeScript is also required as an ideal complementary skill.
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD tooling, including GitHub Actions, Maven, and NPM.
• Familiarity with structured reporting and traceability solutions such as Serenity.
• Solid understanding of test strategy, automation patterns, framework design, and scalable reusable automation frameworks.
• Background in mentoring or supporting other engineers.
• Clear communication skills and comfort working in multicultural environments.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams, plus a proactive approach to seeking clarity when needed.
• Advanced English proficiency at upper-intermediate level or higher, written and spoken.
