Compliance Analyst (Securities)

Location: Hybrid in NY, New York, United States, with flexible in-office days.

Base pay: $100,000–$175,000 per year, with potential discretionary bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Coordinate the core compliance program, including registrations, personal trading, outside activities, training, and employee onboarding.
• Lead compliance matters, address employee inquiries, and support the broker-dealer across its businesses.
• Conduct surveillance reviews, research exceptions, perform forensic tests, and identify compliance risks.
• Monitor federal, state, and non-U.S. regulatory developments and analyze their impact on the business and compliance program.
• Propose improvements and automation for employee compliance processes and support implementation of solutions to business problems.
• Collaborate with business partners, Legal & Compliance, and outside service providers to mitigate compliance risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a strong academic record.
• 1–3 years of relevant compliance experience with a systematic trading firm or securities regulator.
• Experience applying Claude Code or other AI tools to improve processes or assist with daily tasks.
• Entrepreneurial and pragmatic approach to problem-solving, with willingness to support all aspects of the compliance program.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and pay close attention to detail.
• Ability to think critically and conduct independent research on complex topics.
• Outstanding business-minded writing skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specification documents.
