Senior xEngineer (Backend Oriented) - CTO Team

Location: Vilnius, Lithuania

Salary: €5,000–€8,000 gross per month, including total compensation and RSUs.

What you will do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, adapt to diverse workflows, and support teams in achieving their goals.
• Develop robust backend services using Java and Node.js.
• Plan, design, build, and maintain systems for Wix’s technical operations.
• Work with Wix developers to improve their experience and eliminate velocity blockers.
• Deliver innovative, reliable, and high-quality technical solutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a backend developer.
• Hands-on experience with Java and Node.js.
• In-depth understanding of object-oriented programming and SOLID principles.
• Experience debugging and investigating production issues, including recognizing and addressing bad code.
• Ownership, accountability, teamwork, and willingness to support colleagues.
• Ability to transition smoothly between platforms and diverse technical environments.
• Consistent, timely delivery and a proven record of meeting high-quality standards.
• Ability and enthusiasm to solve critical business problems and develop unconventional solutions.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of gRPC and Protobuf.
• Familiarity with Scala or other functional and modern programming languages.
