Company

hirify.global is a second-hand marketplace and technology group operating hirify.global Marketplace, hirify.global Go, and hirify.global Pay across Europe and the US.

What you will do

  • Lead the technical direction and architectural vision for VITA, the internal platform for alerts, on-call routing, incident management, and SLOs.
  • Scope complex problems, design solutions, and coordinate delivery across engineering teams.
  • Own incident management and on-call processes, improve related tooling, and reduce alert fatigue by establishing actionable alert standards.
  • Design event pipelines that enable the AI incident agent to suggest root causes during live outages.
  • Define and track product and process metrics, and keep alert routing and other critical systems reliable and simple to operate.
  • Mentor five engineers through system design reviews, collaborative RFCs, and technical guidance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience architecting, building, and operating high-scale distributed systems in production, including ownership from design through operation.
  • Strong background in Go or a similar technology such as Java, Rust, Python, or C++.
  • Experience participating in on-call rotations and responding to production incidents, with willingness to continue doing so.
  • Strong product mindset for developer tooling, including understanding engineer users, identifying pain points, and measuring adoption and developer happiness.
  • Understanding of observability, including metrics, logs, traces, and SLOs.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Strong technical communication and diplomacy, including explaining architectural risks to non-technical stakeholders and constructively challenging senior leaders with data and SLOs.
  • Natural mentoring and collaboration skills, including breaking down complex technical problems and helping newer engineers grow safely.

Nice to have

  • Experience with incident management, on-call, or observability tooling, or with a platform team serving other engineers.
  • Experience building LLM-based tools or agents.

Culture & Benefits

  • Hybrid work with flexibility to decide when to work from home and when to meet in person.
  • Share options programme, private health insurance, pension plan with flexible contributions and matching, and an Employee Assistance Program.
  • 25 working days of holiday and home office support, including equipment and a budget of up to €540 for furniture.
  • Annual learning budget starting at €3,000 and up to 10 working days over two years for personal and professional development.
  • Team-building events, a personal monthly hirify.global shopping budget, and dog-friendly offices.
  • Office-specific benefits include gym and meals in Vilnius, and lunch allowances and provided meals in Kaunas.
