UX/UI Engineer (React)

Location: US - Plainfield, IN, United States of America; general office setting.

Salary: $94,000–$117,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop information architectures, navigation models, content hierarchies, user flows, interaction patterns, wireframes, clickable prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for complex digital products.
• Design responsive desktop, tablet, and mobile interfaces for data-intensive, transaction-oriented, and role-based enterprise applications.
• Apply visual design, accessibility, responsive behavior, reusable components, and corporate design standards across products.
• Prepare design specifications, interaction notes, assets, and handoff materials, and collaborate with Software Engineers on React implementation and technical feasibility.
• Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, design reviews, and stakeholder presentations while partnering with Product Management on experience requirements and priorities.
• Review implemented features, validate concepts through iterative testing, document design decisions, and participate in Agile activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in UX design, UI design, product design, digital design, front-end design, or a related discipline, including relevant project or freelance experience.
• Experience working within an established design system and collaborating with component-based front-end frameworks such as React.
• Portfolio demonstrating user-centered design thinking, research, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, and high-fidelity prototyping.
• Hands-on experience with Figma, FigJam, Miro, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar design and collaboration tools.
• Experience creating user flows, wireframes, responsive layouts, interactive prototypes, and implementation-ready interface designs.
• Knowledge of design systems, reusable component patterns, responsive design, accessibility principles, and corporate design standards.
• Hands-on experience with React and component-based front-end development, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Software Engineers.
• Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills, ability to explain design decisions and incorporate feedback, and ability to manage multiple priorities as user needs, business direction, and technical constraints evolve.

• Experience designing complex enterprise, SaaS, workflow-driven, or customer-facing applications.
• Experience using product analytics or usability metrics to evaluate and improve digital experiences.
• Experience supporting digital transformation, legacy-system modernization, or multi-product platform initiatives.
• Experience in life sciences, healthcare, laboratory, biobanking, informatics, or another regulated environment.
• Knowledge of AI-enabled experiences, conversational interfaces, or AI-assisted design tools.
