Company

hirify.global creates cross-platform live games and co-develops projects for publishers and entertainment properties including Microsoft, Sony, Activision, and Electronic Arts.

What you will do

  • Own end-to-end UX for data-driven actions and player flows across core card gameplay, persistence, progression, and related metagame systems.
  • Translate game rules, design goals, and system data into information architecture, user journeys, screen flows, wireframes, prototypes, and implementation-ready specifications.
  • Define interaction behavior, content hierarchy, states, transitions, edge cases, error conditions, data requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with game design, UI art, engineering, production, QA, and external stakeholders from concept through implementation, validation, and delivery.
  • Lead UX reviews, communicate design rationale, resolve feedback, maintain reusable UX patterns, and guide designers working on connected flows.
  • Validate and iterate designs through playtests, usability reviews, and available player feedback while planning scope, risks, and dependencies.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of professional UI/UX, product design, or game design experience.
  • Contributions to two or more shipped games or comparable production releases, including at least one feature or system led from concept through delivery.
  • Strong interaction-design and systems-thinking skills, including experience turning complex rules, data, and state changes into clear player actions and feedback.
  • Proficiency in information architecture, user flows, wireframing, interactive prototyping, and annotated production specifications.
  • Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, usability, accessibility, readability, and consistency across data-rich interfaces.
  • Ability to anticipate alternate states, transitions, edge cases, error conditions, and content scaling over time.
  • Proficiency with Figma or comparable UI/UX design and prototyping tools.
  • Ability to collaborate with UI artists and engineers while balancing player needs, creative goals, and technical constraints.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting rationale, resolving conflicting feedback, and documenting decisions for distributed teams and external partners.

Nice to have

  • Experience designing UI/UX for digital collectible card games, deck-builders, strategy games, or other data-dense game systems.
  • Shipped ownership of persistence, progression, collection, or other interconnected metagame experiences.
  • Experience with licensed intellectual property or co-development environments involving external partner reviews.
  • Familiarity with in-engine UI frameworks, proprietary UI tools, or implementation workflows.
  • Experience using usability studies, playtest findings, or telemetry to evaluate and improve player flows.
  • Portfolio demonstrating ownership of complex interaction flows, design rationale, iteration, cross-discipline collaboration, and final outcomes.

Culture & Benefits

  • Choice of remote, hybrid, or office-based work arrangements.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k) with employer match; employer-paid life insurance.
