Senior UX Designer

Location: Bentonville, Arkansas, United States; onsite at the Upstream Building AR Bentonville Home Office.

Annual salary: $90,000–$180,000, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Conduct interviews, surveys, and contextual inquiries to identify user needs and inform UX strategies.
• Develop interaction designs, user journeys, wireframes, site maps, functional specifications, and prototypes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate design solutions, and influence technical outcomes.
• Analyze data from multiple sources and translate research insights into actionable design recommendations aligned with business goals.
• Lead usability testing and iterate designs based on feedback.
• Ensure accessibility compliance and adherence to design standards across platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or a related area and 3 years of experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronic art, multimedia design, or a related area; or 5 years of experience in these areas without the degree.
• Extensive experience in user experience design, including user research, journey mapping, and prototyping.
• Proficiency in interaction design, information architecture, and user-centered design principles.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, engagement, and consensus-building skills.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data to inform design decisions and improve UX strategies.
• Expertise in accessibility compliance and iterative design processes.
• Advanced knowledge of Figma and systems design methodologies.
• Ability to translate research insights into actionable recommendations aligned with business goals.

Nice to have

• Design certification, such as the IDEOU Foundations in Design Thinking Certificate.
• Experience driving product development in a user experience area.
• Master’s degree in UI/UX Design, Interactive and Visual Design, Product Design, or a related area.
• Related industry experience in retail, supply chain, eCommerce, healthcare, or a related area.
• Experience creating inclusive digital experiences and knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, accessibility best practices, and accessible product implementation.
