Technical Lead (DevSecOps)

Location: Remote, USA.

Salary: $105,546–$125,875 per year, with potential additional compensation such as bonuses.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary technical contact for the VA on assigned products and guide build planning, sprint execution, and releases.
• Maintain product architecture packages, AS-IS/TO-BE models, interface control documents, and change requests.
• Lead backlog refinement with the VA Product Owner by decomposing epics into features and stories with acceptance criteria.
• Oversee CI/CD in VA-approved tools and drive Authority to Operate upkeep and security remediation.
• Lead Tier II/III troubleshooting and sustainment and provide technical input to PI Planning.
• At the Senior level, lead multiple teams or a sub-product line, mentor other technical leads, and represent the product in program governance.

Requirements

• Mid / Level II: 8+ years of experience, including 2+ years as a technical lead or product owner on a federal program.
• Senior / Level III: 13+ years of experience, including 7+ years of technical experience and 3+ years leading federal teams.
• Experience with VA enterprise systems, including VistA, VAEC, VA TRM, and ATO.
• Agile/DevSecOps technical leadership of cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to obtain a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust and a VA PIV credential.

Nice to have

• Experience with HELM products such as Maximo, Nuvolo/ServiceNow, DMLSS, Prosthetics, or VALIP.
• Product owner experience on a SAFe release train.
• Experience with OpenShift and VAEC hosting on AWS or Azure.
• SAFe Architect or SAFe Agilist certification.
• Red Hat Certified Specialist or Architect in OpenShift certification.
• SAFe POPM certification.
