Senior Financial Controller (Fintech)

hirify.global is a specialized niche bank building a technology-driven debt finance platform across the European credit market, with operations in 15 European markets and local presence in Stockholm, Helsinki, and London.

What you will do

• Own the quality, completeness, and consistency of accounting and reporting data from group legal entities and external service providers.
• Coordinate subsidiaries and service providers through each month-end close, ensuring complete and timely deliveries.
• Analyse parent-company results, identify unusual movements and errors, and support group reporting through validated entity-level data and reconciliations.
• Improve ERP systems, reporting tools, data flows, reporting structures, and data governance within Finance.
• Identify root causes of reporting weaknesses, drive corrective action, and harmonise processes, deadlines, controls, and ways of working across entities.
• Develop practical internal controls and act as a key financial contact for the business.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Senior Accountant, Financial Controller, or Group Financial Controller in a complex group environment, with hands-on responsibility for accounting quality, month-end close, reporting flows, and process improvement.
• Proven experience working independently in an international group and coordinating reporting across multiple legal entities.
• Strong systems understanding and proven ability to improve financial processes, controls, and data flows.
• Comfort working with large data sets and financial analysis, with accounting knowledge sufficient to identify and resolve underlying issues.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with many stakeholder groups.
• Ownership, initiative, a structured and solution-oriented approach, and a collaborative working style.
• Fluent spoken and written English and Swedish.

• Experience with NetSuite.
• Experience with outsourced accounting or corporate service providers.
• Experience in a niche bank, fintech, or another regulated financial business.
