Site Manager (Water Infrastructure)

Location: Travel across East Anglia, UK; primarily site-based at water and wastewater treatment works, pipeline routes, or pumping stations. The work may involve outdoor environments, confined spaces, operational plant areas, varied weather conditions, and occasional extended hours or weekend work.

What you will do

• Lead daily construction, mechanical, electrical, ICA installation, and commissioning operations on water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, materials, plant usage, logistics, and site readiness.
• Conduct briefings, toolbox talks, coordination meetings, inspections, safety audits, and incident or near-miss reporting.
• Oversee civil, mechanical, electrical, and ICA works for treatment plants, pipelines, pumping stations, and process upgrades in line with approved designs and schedules.
• Track programme milestones, productivity, resources, documentation, site records, cost control, variations, procurement needs, and forecasts.
• Act as the main site contact for clients, project managers, consultants, regulatory bodies, multidisciplinary teams, and affected communities.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Supervisor in the water, wastewater, utilities, or civil engineering sector.
• Strong understanding of water industry construction activities, including treatment process equipment, pipework installation, pumping systems, and MEICA integration.
• Proven experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Good knowledge of health and safety regulations, CDM 2015, and quality control.
• Proficiency in reading drawings, schedules, RAMS, and technical documentation.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong leadership, communication, organisation, planning, decision-making, problem-solving, risk management, resilience, adaptability, and IT skills.
• Ability to use MS Project, site management software, and reporting tools.

• SMSTS certification.

• IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH Certificate.
• EUSR/SHEA Water card.
• Confined Space training.
• Experience with NEC contract environments.
• Background in MEICA or civil engineering.
