Senior Frontend Engineer (React)

Location: Argentina, preferably Buenos Aires; fully remote with occasional in-person collaboration.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack, cloud-native applications with a primary focus on React frontend experiences.
• Build and enhance Backend-for-Frontend services using Node.js, Express.js, and NestJS.
• Create user-centric interfaces focused on usability and performance, and develop, integrate, and optimize RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Write unit tests, conduct code reviews, and apply engineering practices that ensure software quality.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance production applications while delivering new features and improvements.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Technical Leads, UX specialists, and stakeholders to define solutions, build prototypes, and align technical initiatives with business goals.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience with React.js and modern frontend practices.
• Hands-on Node.js version 18 or newer, preferably with Express.js and/or NestJS.
• Solid understanding of microservices and/or event-driven architectures.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and knowledge of NoSQL databases.
• Practical experience deploying and managing applications in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Serverless Framework or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Strong knowledge of GitLab, including branching strategies, feature development workflows, and hotfix processes.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Datadog and Opsgenie.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Native or fluent Spanish and intermediate English proficiency.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, EventBridge, and DynamoDB.
• Familiarity with TypeScript.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and the full software development lifecycle.
• Ability to mentor teammates and share technical knowledge across teams.
