Human Data Project Manager (AI)

Location: New York City, NY; must be authorized to work in the U.S. as a W2 employee. Short-notice travel to project sites may be required.

hirify.global builds a secure, efficient, and privacy-centric platform for exchanging AI training data and produces human judgments for AI training, evaluations, and healthcare data review.

What you will do

• Own human data projects end to end, including scope, timelines, budgets, execution, and delivery.
• Design and test annotation tasks and instructions with requesting teams before scaling production.
• Staff projects using in-house annotators and partner vendors, and manage vendor relationships day to day.
• Run annotator calibration and known-answer testing, provide feedback, and manage retries before production work counts.
• Track throughput, cost, and quality by annotator and vendor; report progress to leadership weekly.
• Handle sensitive data, including protected health information, under strict security procedures; identify and resolve quality, staffing, vendor, and instruction issues early.

Requirements

• One to three years of experience in consulting, finance, a startup, or another operationally intense environment involving ownership of complex projects with real stakes; strong new graduates with comparable experience are welcome.
• Strong analytical skills and instincts for statistics.
• Experience with and comfort using agentic coding and work tools, with willingness to learn new tools.
• Comfort working directly with demanding stakeholders, including researchers and outside partners.
• Judgment to notice when something is wrong and raise it early rather than guess.
• Clear, fast written communication.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. as a W2 employee is required for access to protected health information.

Nice to have

• Experience running data annotation, labeling, or AI training data projects.
• Healthcare, clinical research, or HIPAA-regulated work experience.
• Experience managing contractors, vendors, or freelancers.
• Python or SQL.
