Software Engineer (Python)

Base salary: $125,000–$150,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses

What you will do

• Design, develop, debug, maintain, and integrate internal application modules.
• Improve day-to-day business workflows in the civil engineering space.
• Write unit and functional tests, perform manual testing, and resolve problems in internal applications.
• Prepare technical proposals for process improvements, including work and cost savings estimates and recommendations for existing services, new services, or bespoke development.
• Collaborate with regional IT team members and managers on successful deployment of enterprise-wide initiatives.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of Python experience and proficiency in object-oriented Python development.
• Experience with frontend JavaScript/TypeScript development.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Ability to work with third-party APIs with little or no official documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering/Development, or a related discipline preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• React experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
