Senior Manager Security Research - Low Level (Cortex)

Location: Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel; office-based work, with flexibility when needed.

What you will do

• Lead two Linux low-level security research teams and manage existing employees.
• Hire, recruit, mentor, and support the growth of future team members.
• Design, plan, and improve Linux anti-exploit, anti-malware detection, and prevention capabilities.
• Research malware, vulnerabilities, exploits, kernel mitigations, eBPF, Linux internals, and advanced cybersecurity threats.
• Lead rapid responses to critical vulnerabilities, malware, breaches, and customer security events.
• Identify bug classes and exploitation building blocks to prevent entire categories of exploits.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Senior or Group Manager, with a proven record of leading managers.
• At least 4 years of overall management experience and at least 5 years of security research experience.
• At least 3 years of Linux security research experience, including Linux user-mode and kernel internals.
• At least 3 years of reverse engineering experience, including static and dynamic analysis, as well as assembly.
• At least 2 years of programming experience in C, C++, or Rust.
• Experience leading projects, collaborating with other teams, and meeting high-quality standards and deadlines.
• High research and coding standards, with the ability to anticipate potential pitfalls and issues.
• A hands-on approach, strong attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to prioritize and work under pressure with strict deadlines.
• Passion for recruiting, leading, mentoring, and helping people grow; excellent communication skills for presenting research, processes, and ideas clearly and concisely.
• A “play-to-win” attitude.

Nice to have

• Experience writing eBPF applications.
• Experience finding vulnerabilities independently and determining how to exploit them.
