Quality Assurance Manager - Chemical & FMCG

Location: Bangkok, Thailand; willingness to travel to manufacturing plants in Pathum Thani, Samut Prakan, and Chachoengsao. Hybrid working setup.

What you will do

• Ensure product development and manufacturing at factories meet internal and external quality standards, Quality Manual requirements, and relevant GMP regulations.
• Support contract manufacturers with product samples, production troubleshooting, product performance investigations, root cause analysis, and remedial actions.
• Lead quality management system implementation and reviews, supplier and customer audits, CAPA assessment, quality performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor complaints, quality KPIs, Right First Time, Finished Good Quality Index, and Hygiene Index across manufacturers.
• Supervise the chemical laboratory in line with safety policy, good laboratory practice, and 5S requirements.
• Support product and packaging development, innovation launches, raw material assessments, localization and cost optimization projects, regulatory compliance, technical training, and product changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant quality experience in the chemical industry; experience with cleaning and sanitizing products is preferred.
• At least 2 years of management experience leading quality assurance processes, particularly across manufacturing sites, supplier management, and customer service.
• ISO 9001 certification is required. Familiarity with quality management systems and requirements in food, drug, and cosmetics markets is required; GMP and ISO 22000 certifications are preferred.
• Experience implementing quality systems and conducting studies, investigations, problem analysis, and documented recommendations.
• Ability to interpret and apply product specifications, technical data, regulations, policies, and guidelines.
• Collaborative, hands-on leadership skills, including influencing, motivating, consensus building, team building, and developing teams from the ground up.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and results-oriented skills, with the ability to influence others without direct control.
• Excellent oral and written English skills.
• Willingness to travel to manufacturing plants in Pathum Thani, Samut Prakan, and Chachoengsao.
