Wafer Process Control Intern - Wet Processes Summer 2027 (Wet Processes)

Location: Normandale, United States; onsite work at the Bloomington, Minnesota facility. No travel required.

Salary: $24.00–$31.00 per hour.

Develops and manufactures magnetic recording heads and hard disk drives.

What you will do

• Enable automated process controls for wafer manufacturing equipment used to build advanced magnetic recording heads.
• Support factory automation and optimize Chemical Mechanical Polish, electroplating, and wet chemical etch operations.
• Perform root cause analysis, design and execute experiments, and conduct statistical data analysis.
• Conduct experimentation for process chemical qualifications and gauge capability studies.
• Install and debug production machinery and provide technical support for product launches.
• Create process documentation and training materials.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, another engineering discipline, or a related field.
• Must be enrolled in Fall 2027 classes.
• Interest in manufacturing or engineering as a potential career path.
