Sustaining Engineer II

Location: Fremont USA Research Center; on-site at the Fremont product-design campus.

Estimated base salary: $87,692.00–$125,405.00 per year.

What you will do

• Follow procedures and protocols while providing technical support and recommendations to Engineering.
• Run process machines efficiently and effectively and monitor real-time data from process tools.
• Collect measurement-tool data and maintain accurate documentation.
• Identify and correct out-of-control process conditions, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, management, and global cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve efficiency.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with process planning and analysis for root-cause identification, design improvement, and process improvement.
• Experience applying statistical analysis and quality control, including flow-charting, design and drafting support, and document control.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently and provide solutions.
• Ability to work with global cross-functional team members to resolve technical issues and improve efficiency.
• Strong data analytical skills, attention to detail, communication, documentation, teamwork, responsibility, and commitment to quality.
• Good computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field and 2+ years of experience, or a master's degree. Relevant fields include Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer Engineering, Materials, Physics, and Information Technology.

Nice to have

• Lean Manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, or Six Sigma practices.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles.
