Materials & IBP Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Torrance, CA; onsite at the Torrance aerospace plant. A 9/80 schedule option is available.

Salary: $130,000–$210,000 annually.

hirify.global’s Military Aircraft Group designs and integrates primary and secondary flight control actuation systems for military aircraft, including the F-35 Lightning II and V280 Valor.

What you will do

• Lead the site’s Integrated Business Planning process, including monthly Site Capability Reviews and executive planning reviews.
• Oversee inventory strategy, master scheduling, materials planning, inventory targets, excess inventory reviews, and inventory reduction initiatives.
• Align demand, supply, capacity, inventory, and operational priorities across Program Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and functional leadership.
• Lead business transformation, change management, continuous improvement, Value Stream Analysis, Lean Thinking, and Six Sigma initiatives.
• Maintain materials-system data accuracy and integrity, investigate inventory inconsistencies, and optimize part settings to support customer delivery commitments.
• Lead and develop Master Scheduling and IBP analytical resources across site execution and strategic planning activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree; desirable disciplines include Business, Engineering, or Industrial Management.
• 7+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Management role.
• 7+ years of experience in materials management, production planning, master scheduling, inventory management, and/or Integrated Business Planning.
• Advanced business acumen, including data analysis, problem solving, project management, and team leadership.
• Proven experience influencing and leading large teams, with strong leadership and facilitation skills across groups of varying sizes and functional backgrounds.
• Personal drive and human relations skills to manage conflicting interests among customers, contracts, program management, and manufacturing personnel.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, or space manufacturing.
• Ability to lead meetings with senior leadership.
• Supply Chain certification, including APICS, and/or experience with Lean Management Systems.
• Experience leading or participating in IBP, SIOP, or S&OP processes.
• Experience with SAP.
