Manager, Product Ownership (Healthcare)

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; must support Eastern Standard Time business hours. Occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required.

Salary: $115,200–$158,400 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop up to eight Product Owners, including goal setting, performance management, and career growth.
• Establish product ownership standards for backlog management, user stories, acceptance criteria, prioritization, and value-based decisions.
• Serve as the escalation point for prioritization, scope, and tactical decisions.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe events, including PI Planning, and prepare Product Owners for effective delivery.
• Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership.
• Improve team processes, tools, and delivery effectiveness across strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in product ownership, product management, or a related role in an Agile environment.
• At least 2 years of people leadership experience, including direct management of individual contributors.
• Proven ability to coach others on Agile and product ownership practices.
• Experience in healthcare, managed care, or a similar enterprise environment.
• Experience managing priorities across multiple teams or initiatives with competing demands.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work through ambiguity and find paths forward.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work from a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions and protect member PHI/HIPAA information.
• Home internet must provide at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed; wireless, wired cable, or DSL is suggested. Satellite, cellular, and microwave connections require leadership approval.

Nice to have

• Experience leading Product Owners or product teams in a scaled Agile environment using SAFe.
• SAFe certification such as SAFe POPM, SAFe Agilist, or similar.
• Experience with platform modernization or digital transformation initiatives.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and/or JIRA Align.
