Revenue Accounting & Billing Lead (AI)

What you will do

• Own revenue inputs to monthly, quarterly and year-end close, including revenue entries, waterfalls, deferred and unbilled rollforwards, and flux reviews.
• Review contracts, determine performance obligations and transaction prices, allocate standalone selling prices, and reconcile ARR, billings and revenue.
• Own billing, collections, AR aging, dunning, DSO reporting and cash forecasts for platform, ramped and usage-based contracts.
• Design and build agentic workflows that extract contract terms, generate invoices and draft revenue entries with human review, controls and audit trails.
• Partner with Engineering, RevOps and the accounting systems lead on usage metering, Salesforce, billing and Rillet data flows.
• Own revenue and AR audit readiness, payroll and benefits operations, and progressive automation of these processes.

Requirements

• Big 4 assurance or accounting advisory experience at Senior to Senior Manager level, with 5–8 years of total experience.
• Active CPA license.
• Deep hands-on ASC 606 experience from audit or in-house, ideally involving multi-year, ramped or usage-based contracts.
• Experience owning or auditing enterprise billing, collections and AR, including billing accuracy, cutoff, collectability and allowance for doubtful accounts.
• Builder mindset: built apps, scripts or automations, or willing to build agentic workflows; no coding background is required.
• Ability to design workflows end to end, including data, controls and exception handling.
• Experience writing technical memos accepted by auditors or reviewing such memos as an auditor.
• Advanced Excel or Sheets and working knowledge of SQL, Python or AI tools are helpful for starting quickly.

• In-house experience, especially owning revenue recognition at a high-growth SaaS, AI or infrastructure company.
• Usage or consumption billing at scale with Stripe Billing, Metronome, Orb or Maxio.
• Experience with Rillet or another modern ERP or revenue system.
• Apps, agents or automations used by other people.
• Experience with consideration payable to customers, SSP analysis or ASC 340-40 commissions.
• First audit, SOX or IPO readiness experience.
• Experience with hirify.global as a customer, user or builder.
