Senior Full Stack Developer (Vue/Nuxt)

Location: Remote, Canada; Vancouver, BC

Compensation: CAD $52–55/hour; 12-month contract

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using Python, Flask, Vue.js, Nuxt, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Build accessible front-end interfaces, RESTful APIs, backend services, databases, and event-driven integrations.
• Deploy containerized microservices and manage cloud infrastructure and automated delivery pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
• Implement authentication, authorization, feature flags, automated unit and integration tests, and secure scalable services.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, UX/UI designers, business analysts, and developers in an Agile environment.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, knowledge transfer, code reviews, architecture input, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including hands-on full-stack development.
• Strong experience with Python and Flask, plus SQLAlchemy and Alembic for backend development, database operations, and migrations.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and modern CSS/SCSS.
• Experience with Vue 2 and Vue 3, including class components, Pinia, and Nuxt 3.
• Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs, including JSON Schema.
• Practical Google Cloud Platform experience with Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Build.
• Experience with PostgreSQL data modelling, query optimization, and database migrations; Docker-based microservices and containerized applications.
• Experience building automated CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Cloud Build, and automated tests with pytest and Vitest.
• Experience with event-driven architectures, asynchronous messaging, Keycloak, JWT, and Agile development environments, together with strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with LaunchDarkly or similar feature flag management platforms.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications or migrating systems to cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with large-scale government or public-sector digital transformation projects.
• Experience with OpenAPI specifications and API-first development.
• Experience providing technical mentorship and knowledge transfer to client teams.
