Senior Fullstack Software Developer (Energy)

Location: Remote in the US or Canada; occasional travel of 10% or less may be needed.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance cloud-based software solutions for the energy sector.
• Participate in requirements gathering, coding, testing, deployment, code reviews, bug fixing, and performance tuning.
• Build scalable, performant, and secure SaaS and cloud-based applications using Python, React, TypeScript, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Contribute to the design and development of agentic skills and processes that improve time to market and code contribution safely.
• Collaborate with software, engineering, data science, and business teams to integrate and deliver products.
• Mentor junior developers and continuously learn new technologies and software development approaches.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a similar technical field, or a Bachelor’s degree in Power System Engineering, plus 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience developing software or SaaS products.
• 3+ years of Python experience, including designing FastAPI-based REST services and working with the Python ecosystem.
• 4+ years of React experience in a fullstack capacity developing SaaS or cloud-based applications.
• Demonstrated contribution to at least one enterprise client-facing application.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control, including Git.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, algorithms, and data structures.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, ability to learn new codebases, identify data-driven refactoring opportunities, and contribute code.
• Proven ability to mentor and support junior developers.
• Knowledge of AWS and other cloud-based solutions.
