Solutions Architect (Pre-Sales) (AI)

Location: United Kingdom (Remote)

Compensation: £160K–£240K OTE, split 70% base salary and 30% variable; the range covers multiple levels and placement depends on experience and hiring level. Equity is offered.

What you will do

• Partner with account executives as the technical lead on strategic deals, covering discovery, architecture design, demos, proofs-of-concept, and technical decisions.
• Advise customers on cloud architecture and deployment across self-hosted environments and hirify.global Cloud on AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Build live demos and reusable reference applications for voice agents, video pipelines, and telephony integrations.
• Scope and run proofs-of-concept against shared success criteria and guide customers through production deployment.
• Help customers design for connectivity, infrastructure, latency, scale, and reliability.
• Create technical content and share field insights with Product and Engineering to help shape the roadmap.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in solutions architecture, sales engineering, or customer-facing engineering, or equivalent hands-on engineering experience with strong customer instincts.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure, including architecting, deploying, and debugging real applications.
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, and networking fundamentals including load balancing, DNS, and firewalls/NAT.
• Ability to reason about connectivity, infrastructure, and end-to-end latency, including architecture, network path, compute, co-location, and model choice.
• Strong programming ability in at least one core SDK language: Python, TypeScript/Node, or Go.
• Ability to communicate clearly through demos, presentations, and technical writing.
• Curiosity, continuous learning, a builder mindset, and a team-first approach.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of real-time media protocols and latency/quality trade-offs, including WebRTC, RTP/SRTP, and WebSockets.
• Familiarity with the AI voice stack, including STT/TTS providers, LLM integration, speech-to-speech models, turn detection, and telephony/SIP.
• Experience speaking at meetups or conferences, technical writing, or open-source contributions.
