Physical Security Operations Manager

Location: El Segundo, California, United States; travel to CHAOS Enterprise locations as needed; onsite work and occasional after-hours response.

Salary: $132,000–$223,000 annual base compensation, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage the contract security provider, including guard-force performance, service levels, KPIs, budgets, invoices, corrective actions, RFPs, renewals, and vendor selection.
• Own daily physical security operations, including staffing, shift coverage, reporting, badge and access issues, visitor and contractor programs, and after-hours escalation.
• Oversee access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, control-room operations, vendor maintenance, and technology upgrade planning.
• Respond to disturbances and incidents, coordinate required government reporting with the FSO and Legal, conduct post-incident reviews, and support workplace violence prevention and threat management.
• Maintain relationships with local law enforcement, emergency services, and federal partners; develop and drill site security procedures, post orders, emergency plans, and business continuity responses.
• Lead Operational Security Specialists across company locations, including hiring, training, performance management, and succession planning.

Requirements

• Active Secret or Top Secret clearance, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Experience in physical security or security operations, preferably in the defense industry.
• Ability to verify guard personnel clearance, training, licensing, and qualification requirements, including armed-guard standards where applicable.
• Ability to partner with Facilities, Legal, HR, IT/InfoSec, the FSO, and site leadership.
• Ability to manage data privacy for video and access logs, including retention and release requests, and support audits through remediation.

Nice to have

• CPP, PSP, or SFPC certification.
• Experience managing contract security providers and leading distributed teams.
