FIB Manager (Semiconductor)

Location: Santa Clara, CA. Onsite role with 10% travel. Relocation eligible.

Salary: $147,000–$202,500 per year, plus potential bonus and stock awards.

What you will do

• Manage FIB engineers and technicians using FIB techniques for semiconductor characterization across logic, memory, and power semiconductor applications from front end to back end.
• Lead and execute metrology engineering initiatives using advanced characterization expertise and the Applied Problem Solving methodology.
• Manage laboratory operations, analyze operational metrics, and implement workflow improvements to increase lab efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop analytical instrumentation and characterization methods for complex sample types while supporting hands-on tool validation and team training.
• Resolve complex metrology issues with customers and business-unit partners, manage escalations, and support cross-functional teams across shifts.
• Prepare technical presentations, documentation, lab protocols, procedures, audits, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.

Requirements

• In-depth understanding of concepts, theories, and principles in the relevant job family, with basic knowledge of related job families.
• Understanding of the semiconductor industry and how the function contributes to business objectives.
• Experience managing a generally homogeneous team and adapting plans to operational challenges.
• Ability to identify and resolve technical, operational, and organizational problems.
• Ability to guide, influence, and persuade internal stakeholders and external parties.
• Ability to support safety and IP standards, audits, risk assessments, and compliance requirements.
• Understanding of and compliance with global Standards of Business Conduct and ethical requirements.
