Technical Program Manager (EdTech)

Location: Madrid, Spain; fully remote

What you will do

• Own each program’s technical setup, including environments, services, providers, autotests, and dependency documentation.
• Collect requirements and product constraints, test options, and define workable technical trade-offs for new and updated programs.
• Identify outdated or overly expensive tools and providers, estimate replacement costs, and manage migrations.
• Compare provider offers, negotiate terms, and own integrations with external providers.
• Set autotest coverage and priorities, write or fix tests, and specify automation, API, and platform requirements with acceptance criteria.
• Trace bugs reaching learners, close coverage gaps through tests or process changes, and track quality trends.

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering, QA automation, or technical operations experience with end-to-end technical ownership, including choosing a product setup and managing its trade-offs after launch.
• Solid mid-level coding skills in Python and TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Experience with Git, CI, containers, and REST APIs sufficient to read unfamiliar code, fix bugs, and write autotests.
• Strong English for running requirements sessions and writing specifications that engineering teams can accept without repeated clarification.

Nice to have

• Experience leading or mentoring at least one engineer, ideally in test automation.
• EdTech experience with LMS or autograded courses, QA or release work, or agents that validate content accuracy and freshness.
• Experience with Claude Code, MCP, n8n or Make, SQL, and dashboards.
