Senior Business Analyst (Middle Office Operations)

What you will do

• Partner with Global Markets, trading, operations, compliance, and other business stakeholders to understand needs and operational challenges.
• Analyze end-to-end business and middle-office processes, including risks, gaps, dependencies, impacts, and improvement opportunities.
• Gather, document, challenge, and refine detailed business and functional requirements.
• Analyze how trades and related business activity flow across organizational and operational functions.
• Identify underlying business problems and translate complex needs into clear, actionable requirements.
• Support CIB and frontline business initiatives while delivering analysis and documentation within timelines and SLAs.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant financial services experience.
• Significant Business Analyst experience in a business-facing or operational capacity.
• Demonstrated experience in Global Markets, trading, and/or middle-office environments.
• Strong knowledge of financial markets and banking operations.
• Experience working directly with business and operational stakeholders.
• Ability to understand broader end-to-end business processes rather than focusing only on technology requirements or isolated process components.
• Experience analyzing complex business processes and translating findings into detailed requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, curiosity, initiative, and learning capabilities.

Nice to have

• Operations- or compliance-oriented Business Analyst experience.
• Experience in middle-office trading environments, hedge fund-related businesses, Global Markets, or broader capital markets.
• Experience at the intersection of trading, operations, compliance, and business functions.
• Experience in Corporate & Investment Banking or another complex institutional banking environment.
• Interest in potentially converting to a full-time employee if an opportunity becomes available.
• Regulatory or compliance experience that complements broader business, markets, trading, and middle-office experience.
