Business Analyst (US Power Market)

Location: Houston, United States; hybrid work with at least 3 days onsite per week, increasing to 5 days onsite during the first 1–3 months for onboarding.

What you will do

• Serve as a US Power Markets subject matter expert for Front Office and technology teams.
• Work with traders and business stakeholders to understand US power trading workflows, products, processes, and business requirements.
• Analyze and document processes across trade capture, position management, pricing, PnL, End-of-Day, settlements, and downstream operations.
• Translate Front Office requirements into business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Identify gaps between current processes and Orchestrade functionality and define appropriate solutions with stakeholders.
• Support requirements gathering, process mapping, impact analysis, testing, implementation, and coordination between Power Trading, Operations, QA, Development, and Infrastructure.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Trade Support, Application Support, or Front Office Analyst within US or North American Power & Energy.
• Strong practical understanding of US power trading processes, including trade lifecycle, positions, pricing, PnL, settlements, and Front Office interaction with ETRM or trading platforms.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Strong Linux/Unix skills.
• Experience with an ETRM platform such as Openlink Endur, Allegro, ION Aspect, TriplePoint, RightAngle, or a proprietary custom ETRM system.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with traders and technical teams.

• Orchestrade implementation or Go-Live experience.
