Corporate Controller

Location: San Francisco, CA; onsite Monday through Thursday is required, with the option to work remotely or from the office on Fridays.

Salary: $206,500–$279,500 base salary annually; midpoint for new hires is $243,000. Equity awards and benefits are additional.

What you will do

• Lead global accounting operations, including month-end close, record-to-report, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
• Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for U.S. GAAP and U.S. and international regulatory and statutory reporting.
• Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team across a distributed organization.
• Modernize accounting operations through AI, automation, and process improvements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Partner with the CFO and FP&A on tax strategy, indirect tax compliance, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and accruals.
• Lead accounting integration and valuation activities for mergers and acquisitions and oversee external audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting or finance and a CPA certification.
• 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant leadership responsibility and public accounting experience.
• Deep technical accounting expertise in U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and complex accounting matters.
• Demonstrated success building and developing high-performing accounting teams and fostering accountability and professional growth.
• Experience designing, optimizing, and scaling accounting processes and systems in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Experience implementing AI and automation in accounting operations, championing adoption, modeling hands-on use, and fostering continuous innovation.
• Strong strategic and operational judgment, including experience with mergers and acquisitions, accounting integration, and partnership with senior leadership.
• Regular onsite attendance in the San Francisco office Monday through Thursday is an essential expectation; business travel may be required for meetings, team summits, or company events.
