Drafter Intern (Electrical Design)

Location: Lakewood, Colorado, United States; onsite position.

Pay: $21.00–$25.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Create detailed physical and electrical designs, bills of materials, and job estimates under an engineer’s technical supervision.
• Prepare CAD or MicroStation drawings and other project documentation.
• Provide low-level engineering support to engineers and division support personnel.
• Complete assigned work within agreed schedules and budgets while maintaining high quality.
• Construct relay equipment racks for project testing and assist with testing.

Requirements

• Be a current student pursuing a degree in EET, CAD, drafting, or a relevant discipline at an accredited university in the Lakewood, Colorado area.
• Demonstrated competence in CADD drafting using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
