Production Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Hartsville, SC, USA; onsite; flexible schedule and support for multiple shifts required.

Annual base salary: $105,520–$131,900, plus a 12.5% annual target bonus.

What you will do

• Lead daily manufacturing operations and production teams to achieve safety, quality, productivity, delivery, customer service, and cost objectives.
• Maintain safety and environmental compliance, including OSHA and EPA requirements, and lead audits, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Monitor KPIs, resolve operational issues, and establish efficient workflows that protect product quality and employee safety.
• Coach, develop, train, and manage supervisors and production employees; support employee relations and recruit production staff as needed.
• Plan production schedules, staffing, shift coverage, inventory, labor utilization, and operating costs in collaboration with maintenance, quality, logistics, HR, and other departments.
• Lead continuous improvement, quality management, budgeting, capital initiatives, and operational performance programs.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, Safety, or a related field. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Experience leading production teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety systems, and quality management principles.
• Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, or similar methodologies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, decision-making, organization, planning, coaching, and team-development skills.
• Ability to work effectively with employees from diverse cultural, educational, and language backgrounds; high integrity, professionalism, and ethical leadership.
• Ability to obtain Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED certification; willingness to work a flexible schedule and support multiple shifts.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, climb stairs and occasional ladders, lift, push, pull, or carry up to 25 pounds occasionally, and move throughout the facility.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency.
• Experience in a high-speed manufacturing or industrial production environment.
• Certification or formal training in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience managing budgets, capital projects, and operational performance metrics.
