Production Manager (Iron Casting)

Location: Charter Dura-Bar - Woodstock, Illinois, United States; onsite. Company-paid relocation assistance is available.

Annual base salary: $111,500–$139,400.

What you will do

• Manage iron casting operations across multiple shifts, including melting, casting, and laboratory departments.
• Lead and coach supervisor-level direct reports as they manage their respective teams.
• Oversee production of high-quality products in a safe and efficient manner.
• Optimize productivity and quality while reducing cost, waste, and downtime.
• Apply continuous improvement, process improvement, and project management practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, such as engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated planning, delegation, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Demonstrated experience reducing costs through process improvements, continuous improvement techniques, and project management.
• Proficiency with computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have

• Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or another continuous improvement discipline.
• Experience working with iron or other metals.
• Maintenance experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Experience in an organization with ISO or quality system requirements.
