Head of Workplace

Location: San Francisco, CA; office-aligned in San Francisco. Hybrid employees go into the office three days per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a third flex day on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, with remote work available for up to four weeks per year. Specific Workplace and Information Technology positions may require onsite attendance five days per week.

Salary: $216,000–$297,000 per year in San Francisco, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own real estate and workplace portfolio strategy across San Francisco, Toronto, Waterloo, New York, and London, including capacity planning, site selection, leases, renewals, and capital needs.
• Build business cases and investment recommendations balancing employee experience, cost, and flexibility, and contribute to hybrid work policies using data and external trends.
• Design in-office programs that connect employees with hirify.global’s retailers, brands, and mission.
• Lead facilities and workplace operations, including food service, maintenance, cleaning, vendor standards, workplace safety, emergency preparedness, and business continuity.
• Own operating and capital budgets, partner with Finance on forecasting, and lead office design, renovation, and occupancy projects.
• Hire, coach, and grow the Workplace and Security team while establishing clear ownership, escalation paths, and leadership decision processes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of workplace experience in a high-growth company, including multi-office portfolios and office expansion.
• Hands-on experience with leases, vendors, and facilities, plus experience delivering projects on time and on budget.
• Comfort with data and budgets and a strong working relationship with Finance.
• Experience building teams that operate with real autonomy.
• Credibility with senior leaders and the ability to make clear recommendations and secure decisions when the answer is unclear.
• Genuine interest in small business and entrepreneurship, with curiosity about how workplace design can reinforce a company’s mission.
