Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: New York City, United States; onsite in the NYC office five days a week, with occasional customer travel. Relocation support is available for candidates not already based in NYC.

Salary: $120K–$200K annually, plus meaningful equity; exact compensation depends on experience and level.

What you will do

• Investigate customer workflow failures using logs, browser tools, APIs, and code, then implement and verify fixes.
• Build custom integrations and contribute production code to the automation platform.
• Turn recurring customer needs into reusable product and platform improvements.
• Join customer calls with Customer Success, clarify technical problems, and own solutions through resolution.
• Help customers onboard and adapt workflows, including occasional travel for onboarding and key projects.

Requirements

• Strong technical foundations through a computer science degree with demonstrated coding ability or hands-on experience in a strong technical environment.
• Solid understanding of core web technologies and the ability to work across different customer environments.
• Ability to investigate complex desktop or legacy systems and solve difficult customer problems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Comfort writing production code and working directly with customers.

Nice to have

• Early-career engineering experience or recent graduation with demonstrated programming ability.
• Customer-facing engineering experience.
