Product Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; in-office role

Base salary: $200,000–$400,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Build self-serve functionality for configuring, training, testing, and deploying AI agents.
• Design configuration abstractions that support diverse enterprise use cases while remaining usable by non-technical teams.
• Develop AI-powered tools for creating and managing complex agent workflows without code.
• Build monitoring, tracing, and analytics systems that reveal agent failures and their causes.
• Own features end to end, from technical architecture and product discovery through deployment and iteration.
• Evaluate new text and voice models and integrate successful models into production traffic.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building software products with strong product thinking.
• Proficiency in Python and comfort working across the full stack.
• Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into simple, usable interfaces.
• Experience with asynchronous programming, complex systems, and scale-related failure modes.
• Strong debugging skills across deep technology stacks and ability to turn customer needs into clear technical specifications.
• Ability to work in the San Francisco office.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, evaluations, or AI agent systems.
• Experience building developer tools, APIs, platforms, or internal tools that became customer-facing.
• Background in observability, data visualization, analytics, authentication, or data access controls.
• Experience with multimodal or voice models.
