Supply Chain Intern - Summer 2027 (Aerospace)

Location: Mojave, California, United States. Onsite work involving both an office setting and a warehouse or manufacturing environment; safe handling, movement, and organization of materials may be required.

Salary: $20.00 hourly. 9/80 schedule.

What you will do

• Support purchase requisitions and purchase orders for production materials, components, tooling, and indirect supplies.
• Obtain supplier quotes, confirm lead times, track orders, identify shortages and late deliveries, and expedite critical materials.
• Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, certifications, and inspection requirements; route materials to the appropriate areas.
• Prepare domestic and international shipments, including packaging, documentation, carrier coordination, and tracking.
• Maintain supplier performance data and documentation, participate in supplier reviews, and support alternate-supplier and supply-chain risk activities.
• Perform cycle counts, reconcile inventory variances, maintain ERP traceability, support replenishment planning, and improve warehouse organization.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• Strong interest in supply chain operations within aerospace, manufacturing, defense, or other regulated industries.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, ability to manage multiple priorities, written and verbal communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently, and as part of a team.
• Ability to collaborate with procurement, warehouse, quality, production, engineering, and supplier teams.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Eagerness to learn and take initiative.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Costpoint, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
• Basic understanding of inventory management, purchasing, logistics, or manufacturing processes.
