Manufacturing Engineer (Electrical Automation)

Location: Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, United States; full-time onsite.

Salary: $55–$60 per hour.

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional engineering projects from concept through implementation, including scope, scheduling, resource planning, budgets, deliverables, risk mitigation, and reporting.
• Lead capital equipment projects through specification, vendor selection, procurement, installation, commissioning, and factory acceptance testing.
• Design, develop, optimize, validate, and troubleshoot electrical systems for automated manufacturing equipment, including control panels, wiring architectures, and power distribution.
• Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs, HMIs, EtherNet/IP, Modbus, and Profinet industrial networks.
• Integrate and debug motion control systems, sensors, embedded systems, robotics, and automated assembly systems.
• Drive continuous improvement, root cause analysis, corrective actions, process capability improvements, documentation, quality compliance, and mentoring of junior engineers and technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with a strong electrical and automation focus.
• Experience leading technical projects or capital equipment implementations.
• Experience with PLCs, industrial networks, motion control, and electrical system design.
• Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills.
• Technical leadership, project ownership, results orientation, and high attention to detail.
• Ability to safely perform essential job functions, communicate with customers and team members by phone and in person, and perform sedentary computer-based work with occasional movement for meetings.

• Lean or Six Sigma methodology experience.
