Content Producer (News)

Location: Sacramento, California, United States; must be willing to work in the Sacramento area and report onsite as required.

Salary: USD 25,000–32,500 per year; part-time, non-exempt.

hirify.global is a media and entertainment company producing and distributing film, television, streaming, news, sports, and digital content through brands including Telemundo and NBC Local Stations.

What you will do

• Produce live daily newscasts and other news programs by stacking, writing, timing, and managing rundowns.
• Write clear, conversational scripts and create engaging stories using graphics, teases, live elements, and interactive anchor or reporter moments.
• React quickly to breaking news and update or re-stack content for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Plan daily coverage, long-term projects, sweeps planning, special projects, and community and social content.
• Coordinate closely with the News Director, Executive Producer, and Assignment Manager.
• Maintain editorial accuracy, fairness, context, station priorities, and platform awareness while working under intense deadlines.

Requirements

• Fluent spoken, written, and reading Spanish, plus the ability to speak, read, and understand English.
• At least 2 years of producer experience or writing and editing experience.
• Excellent news judgment, creative ideas, and writing skills.
• Leadership qualities, attention to detail, organization, teamwork, accountability, and the ability to handle intense deadline pressure.
• Willingness to work in the Sacramento, California area.
• Willingness to work long hours and varying shifts, including nights and weekends, and to report during emergencies when required by news coverage.
• Unrestricted work authorization in the United States.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
