Staff Software Engineer - Full-Stack, Solution Architecture (AI)

Location: Full-time in-office position in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. The posting also lists Concord, Ontario, Canada.

What you will do

• Own product features end-to-end, from design and implementation through verification, production deployment, and support.
• Build and operate third-party, game-provider, and B2B integrations on a shared, brand-agnostic platform.
• Use AI coding agents and automated verification to accelerate delivery within engineering quality gates and independent review.
• Set technical patterns, resolve complex engineering issues, and support multiple workstreams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience and senior/staff-level, production-grade full-stack development experience.
• Required experience with .NET and C# REST APIs, Next.js and React front-ends, server-side rendering, and real-time streaming with Server-Sent Events.
• Experience designing and operating highly available, high-throughput systems and event-driven producers and consumers using an event hub or Apache Kafka, including event-schema design and real-time aggregations.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB, Redis for sessions, caching, and sorted-set or leaderboard patterns, and PostgreSQL, including selecting the appropriate data store for each workload.
• Experience designing external and game-provider API integrations, B2B integrations, and brand- or customer-specific capabilities on a stable platform.
• Experience with OAuth-based authentication, HMAC request signing, idempotency, replay protection, and audit logging.
• Demonstrated use of AI coding agents or tooling and automated verification covering acceptance criteria, regression, and edge cases.
• Experience with production monitoring and incident triage using Sentry or an equivalent, plus observability and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Docker, Dockerfiles, image building, container registries, and Kubernetes deployments, services, configuration, secrets, health probes, and resource limits.
• Experience with DNS, TLS, HTTP, load balancing, reverse proxies, and end-to-end troubleshooting across distributed systems.
• Experience with a public cloud platform, preferably Azure, including compute, identity and access management, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with CDN or edge platforms, preferably Cloudflare, including diagnosing edge-versus-origin failures.
• Experience with Grafana, Loki, Sentry, and production incident analysis.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly, with strong ownership, attention to detail, and end-to-end responsibility from ambiguous requirements through production.
• Proven ability to deliver robust solutions within tight, fixed timeframes while balancing quality and speed, manage competing priorities across multiple workstreams, and work decisively with incomplete information.
