Manager Maintenance (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite five days a week in Mapleton, Illinois, United States. Domestic relocation assistance is available. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $97,530–$146,290 per year.

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate daily maintenance activities across the foundry to support safe, efficient, and reliable production equipment and facilities.
• Develop and prioritize work plans for maintenance employees and contractors, and oversee execution across all shifts.
• Review maintenance work for quality, standards compliance, and effective resolution of equipment issues.
• Monitor maintenance performance metrics including preventive maintenance compliance, schedule compliance, equipment availability, MTBF, MTTR, backlog, safety, and reliability.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Manage maintenance resources, budgets, contractors, spare parts, training, and collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Reliability, and Planning.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of decision-making, critical thinking, effective communication, performance management, planning and organizing, and problem solving.
• Working knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance principles, methods, and processes.
• Experience leading and developing maintenance employees, including coordinating training, certifications, compliance, and workforce development.
• Ability to enforce company, regulatory, and environmental requirements, including lockout/tagout, confined space, hot work, and contractor safety procedures.
• Ability to manage maintenance labor, tools, equipment, contractor services, spare parts, inventory, budgets, and cost control.

Nice to have

• Degree or equivalent experience.
• Previous maintenance and leadership experience.
• MS Office Suite experience.
• Foundry management, machining, or reliability engineering experience.
• Experience with mechanical systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, PLCs and automation, melting furnaces, dust collection systems, conveyors, mold handling equipment, shot blast systems, and cranes.
