Solution Advancement Engineer (AI Analytics Products)

Location: Remote; Chicago, United States. U.S. work authorization is required.

Base salary: $110,000–$150,000 USD annually. Total estimated compensation including annual incentive compensation: $126,500–$172,500 USD annually.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end delivery of Insights healthcare analytics applications across concurrent client engagements, from data pipelines and configuration through QC, UAT, comparison testing, and client sign-off.
• Design and build LLM agent capabilities for the Insights Agent platform, including agent loops, subagent patterns, registry and dispatch architecture, structured outputs, and evaluation frameworks.
• Build and deploy interactive applications with Python and R/Shiny using Posit Connect and a Docker-based monorepo.
• Maintain deployment infrastructure, including version tagging, rollback procedures, deployment scripting, and Jenkins CI/CD.
• Support client data pipelines with AWS data lake infrastructure including Athena, S3, and RDS.
• Work directly with healthcare clients and clinical consultants, translating UAT feedback, clinical workflows, and domain requirements into product, UX, and architecture decisions; mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices.

Requirements

• U.S. work authorization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of software development experience, including full-stack ownership of a production product.
• Strong Python proficiency and working proficiency in R for Shiny-based analytics applications.
• Experience developing LLM- or agent-based applications, including Pydantic AI, RAG, structured outputs, or comparable agent orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployment, including rollback procedures and deployment scripting.
• Experience owning a client-facing analytics or software product end-to-end from data layer through UI and client sign-off.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous, multi-client environments and iterate quickly from live client feedback.
• Excellent collaboration and customer-facing communication skills, including running UAT sessions with clinical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Healthcare analytics experience, including perioperative, inpatient, emergency department metrics, or operating room utilization.
• Experience with Posit Connect or similar platforms for deploying R/Shiny analytics products.
• Experience with AWS data lake architecture, including Athena and S3, or other cloud data platforms.
• Experience with Snowflake or other modern cloud data warehouse platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Experience in consulting or professional-services environments with client-visible deliverables and engagement milestone timelines.
