Software Engineer

Location: Onsite at a customer site in Chantilly, Virginia, United States; US citizenship required.

Salary: $160,000–$190,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop applications and APIs that help users perform analytic functions.
• Design, test, deploy, maintain, and integrate enterprise software solutions in an Agile environment.
• Analyze stakeholder needs, system flows, data usage, requirements, and operational feasibility.
• Develop application tests, testing strategies, and scripting solutions to automate manual processes.
• Identify improvements in brownfield applications, systems, and operational processes.
• Communicate development and service issues, recommendations, timelines, and solutions to stakeholders.

Requirements

• US citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with a Counterintelligence or Full-Scope polygraph.
• 4–6+ years of experience designing, coding, deploying, and supporting enterprise-level systems.
• Proficiency with multiple programming languages, including C++, Python, and JavaScript.
• Experience with brownfield applications, including identifying improvements and designing and implementing new features.
• Experience with DevSecOps frameworks such as GitLab and Jira; architecture and system diagrams; and data flow diagrams.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Experience with the Linux command-line interface, including Bash and Python scripting.
• Experience working in an Agile environment and strong analytical, reasoning, communication, and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• In-scope Counterintelligence Polygraph.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• DoD Approved 8570, IAT Level II certification, such as CySA+ or Security+.
• 7+ years of experience designing, coding, deploying, and supporting enterprise-level systems.
• Experience with UI frameworks such as React and automation engines such as Ansible.
• Experience with big data tools such as Airflow, Django, Elasticsearch, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure.
• Experience in computer vision, computer graphics, homography, GIS data, or work with Department of Defense organizations or performers.
