Senior Director, Technology Operations - Global Marketplace Returns

Location: Bentonville, AR, United States; onsite at 1601 SE 10th St, Bentonville, AR 72716

Annual salary: $130,000–$260,000, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Define the global, cross-border Marketplace Returns strategy and operating model.
• Improve customer and seller experience through greater trust, simplicity, transparency, and economic sustainability.
• Drive reverse-logistics, cost-to-serve, recovery, and operational-efficiency improvements.
• Set priorities for policy, disputes, seller protection, fraud, and abuse with Product, Engineering, Omni Returns, Supply Chain, Finance, Analytics, and international Marketplace partners.
• Translate business needs into scalable product and technology priorities.
• Build and lead a high-performing team supporting global Marketplace growth.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in eCommerce, Marketplace, Returns, reverse logistics, post-purchase, retail technology, supply chain, or related areas.
• Deep expertise in Returns, Marketplace operations, or reverse logistics, including customer, seller, and financial tradeoffs.
• Proven ability to influence Product and Engineering roadmaps and deliver scalable technology solutions.
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional, global or multi-market initiatives, with strong analytical and executive communication skills.
• Success building high-performing teams.
• Either a bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, industrial engineering, engineering management, business, information systems, project or program management, information technology, finance, management, or a related area plus 7 years of experience in project management, program management, program operations, or a related area; or 9 years of experience in those areas.
• 4 years of supervisory experience.

Nice to have

• Fraud, abuse, risk, or seller-protection experience.
• Master's degree in a listed or related field plus 6 years of experience in project management, program management, program operations, or a related area.
• Experience creating inclusive digital experiences and knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, digital accessibility best practices, and accessible product and service standards.
