Major Construction Associate Project Manager (Utilities)

Location: Hybrid role based primarily at the Pomona Innovation Village facility; employees are generally required to work and reside in California, with extended work at other locations throughout the assigned service territory and up to 25% travel and field work.

Salary: $129,200–$193,700 annually.

What you will do

• Manage multiple work streams for short-term projects and programs, delivering scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety results.
• Support project strategies, business cases, schedules, budgets, approval processes, and change control.
• Lead SCE personnel, supplemental individual contributors, leaders, and contractors in the development and execution of major substation projects.
• Analyze moderately complex and complex projects, recommend strategic and tactical actions, and prepare or present materials for senior and executive management.
• Provide project leadership for safety, design standards, injury-free execution, project development, environmental assessment, and execution planning.
• Support project oversight, fiscal responsibility, team development, performance management, and protection of physical, financial, cybersecurity, customer, proprietary, and confidential information.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience in construction project management or construction project support.
• Valid Class C Driver’s License.

Nice to have

• Two or more years of experience in the utility industry.
• Planning or construction experience with an electric utility.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction maps and plans.
• Experience in construction project management and supporting capital projects, including coordinating deliverables, preparing meeting materials, monitoring project status, and coordinating timely delivery.
• Experience creating and editing reports, graphs, and presentations; converting information between formats; generating non-standard reports; and maintaining project records, logs, document files, and databases.
• Experience with SharePoint, BI dashboards, data analytics, Microsoft Office, and Copilot.
• Experience integrating work across functions, managing risks, developing and executing business plans, communicating information effectively, and providing service to internal and external customers.
